Want to feel like you’re on vacation, even if only for a weekend and without even leaving the country? Then Sentosa is the perfect answer.

After all, this beachside wonderland offers anything and everything from adventure-filled activities, numerous attractions, a wide range of dining and hotel options,  and the promise of endless fun in the sun for your whole family.

To start, book your staycation at one of Sentosa’s many hotels. Here’s a pro tip – when you book through one of KrisFlyer’s many hotel partners including Accor (Sofitel Singapore Sentosa Resort & Spa), Marriott (W Singapore Sentosa Cove), Capella Group (Capella Hotel Singapore) and more, you can earn KrisFlyer miles which can count towards your actual family holiday in future.

Next, take your pick from one of the many activities on offer. Does a competitive streak run in the family? Put it to the test at UltraGolf, where courses give enough of a challenge for both the mini golfers and the seasoned ones.

If thrill-seeking is a shared family trait, look no further than Mega Adventure Park where you can take your pick from a 450m-long zipline over the Imbiah Hill jungle and Siloso Beach, a treetop obstacle course or jump 8-metres high on the bungy trampoline.

And if you decide to take things slow towards the evening before dinner, a sunset cable car ride to take in the sights and sounds is a beautiful way to end the day.

With Kris+, you can earn 1 mile per SGD1 spent and 3 miles per SGD1 spent when you pay for your cable car ride and Mega Adventure Park experience respectively via the app. Book your UltraGolf tickets on Pelago to earn 3 KrisFlyer miles per SGD1 spent.

2. Flip and tumble at BazGym Gymnastics School

With erratic weather conditions alternating between heavy downpours and scorching heat of late, it might be a little tricky to plan for a full day out with the family. Here’s one activity to consider for your little ones, especially if they have plenty of energy to burn before dinner and bedtime – gymnastics.

At BazGym Gymnastics School, children from as young as three years old can try their hand at improving motor skills, balance and coordination through gymnastics lessons. Lessons involve the use of trampolines, balance beams, bars and other special equipment to aid with learning. For children aged five years and above, they will build upon their foundation and learn higher level skills which include handsprings, handstand variations, somersaults and twists.

This inclusive space also offers gymnastics lessons for children with special needs and adults.

There are three locations islandwide: SAFRA Punggol, SAFRA Jurong and Home Team NS-JOM (Balestier).

With Kris+, you can enjoy a 1-for-1 adult gymnastics class trial at SGD72 (or 10,800  miles). Earn 3 miles for every SGD1 spent. Or, redeem a free registration (usual price SGD50) for new students who pay with Kris+. Valid until 31 December 2024.

3. Revisit the Singapore Zoo, Bird Paradise, River Wonders or Night Safari

When it comes to the usual suspects – Singapore Zoo, Bird Paradise, River Wonder and Night Safari – it’s almost impossible to run out of things to do. What makes it even better is that each visit is almost always a memorable day out, no matter how often you find yourself at the Mandai Wildlife Reserve.

As the park continues to expand and evolve, visitors can continue to look forward to more developments, including the eco-friendly Mandai Rainforest Resort by Banyan Tree, set to open in early-2025.

Book your Singapore Zoo, Bird Paradise, River Wonders or Night Safari tickets on Pelago to earn 3  miles per SGD1 spent.

4. Create your own pottery at The Potters

Pottery’s twice the fun when you do it with someone you love. Book a class at The Potters with your child, located at A’Posh BizHub, to try your hand at the craft and walk away with a ceramic bowl or two.

Each class is just under two hours, and recommended for a parent as well as a child aged between 7 and 12 years old. Firing and glazing are also included in the price.

5. Feed the goats at Hay Dairies

In a concrete jungle like Singapore, expansive nature spaces and farms are far and few between. At Hay Dairies, you can experience a goat farm with the family and even try your hand at feeding the goats.

Hay Dairies, located  just opposite the entrance to Sungei Buloh Wetland Reserve, also has goat milking sessions which typically take place early in the morning. It’s best to head there as early as possible so as not to miss out.

Book your ticket on Pelago and to earn 3 KrisFlyer miles per SGD1 spent.
