Dive into a whole new world when you visit the Great Barrier Reef which sits just off the coast of Cairns, Australia. This UNESCO World Heritage site is known to most as the world’s biggest coral reef system, and it is home to a whopping 2,900 individual reefs as well as 900 islands which stretch some 2,300km. It can even be seen from outer space! Book a boat tour to the reefs and enjoy a swim among the 400 coral species as well as 1,500 fish species that inhabit this nook of the world.
